Summer is coming to an end and autumn is just around the corner. We hope you had an enjoyable summer. As we move into the second half of 2010 there are new opportunities on the horizon.

We are pleased to announce some exciting news regarding our company and services to you: In August we celebrated the fifth anniversary of the first development of the B1 Usability Package. Thank you all for your continued interest and trust in our product. We have prepared an anniversary video for you about the history of B1UP. As announced in our last newsletter we are now releasing the new B1 Productivity Package Module; The B1 Document Manager. The new version; B1UP 3.9.0.0  includes this module.

B1 Document Manager (B1DM) is a tool for companies wishing to monitor their attached files more closely (e.g. ISO certifications) and enrich them with associations to SAP projects, profit centers, documents etc. B1DM enables you to administer documents outside SAP Business One on a designated server, but you can still find these documents in SAP Business One. This is made possible by B1DM’s highly configurable keyword system which allows users to create predefined and custom search-terms for files located in business partner and item folders. By doing so it is possible to search for specific documents that are placed inside the SAP Business One database AND in a designated folder on a server.

B1DM can be activated in the B1UP configuration. Make sure to have the latest version of B1UP installed. 

 

Every year our partners push the boundaries and applications of the B1UP further than we had thought possible. Following numerous requests from partners for our involvement and guidance in their development projects, Boyum is proud to introduce Premium Support to help you, our partners, continue to derive greater benefit from the B1UP.

The  concept is simple: if you would like Boyum consultants to do be involved with your development work then you can now buy time from the Boyum team “on demand” by the hour, and pay for this time via our online portal by credit card.

Simply login to the Service Portal and click on the Premium Support link to the left. Taking advantage of this service will guarantee that you receive our consultants’ undivided attention to help you to build faster, slicker, better solutions.

Boyum IT’s legendary free support still continues as usual, but more complex support queries will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

As more and more people move to SBO 8.8, we feel it is time that B1UP also went 8.8 specific. Of course, the current release already supports the 8.8 release, but because we also need to work with SBO2007 we have not been able to fully benefit from the new SDK Features.

For that reason we plan to release B1UP 4.0 in Jan. 2011.

B1 Usability Package 3.9.0.0 has been released and can be downloaded now.

SPECIAL:

• This version includes the B1 Productivity Module called "B1 Document Manager" - Those who tried the pre-release: this is the same release and there is no need to replace your pre-release with this.
  
• B1 Print & Delivery and Master Data Manager have been translated into French. (Thanks to OPTI-ONE for their help)
